All window families from our libraries include a typical annotation describing its type and direction of opening. Symbols linework is on a dedication Detail Item Subcategory. Plan Swing for Side-hung windows and Plan Swing Tilt for tilting type of casement windows. Sash and sliding families due to their nature are not represent in any special way on the plan besides simple arrows.

Side-Hung Casement Windows

Side-Hung casement windows symbol describes their direction and has an angle parameter which allows setting a value form 1 to 180 degrees. If set to “0” the symbol becomes hidden. Window symbols display automatically depending on the type of opening setting.

Additionally window sets comprising of multiple leafs have an option of specifying a certain leaf as a door or main segment. Door segment has a dedicated swing angle parameter which helps in describing the window set.

Awning/ Tilt Windows

Awning windows have dedicated symbol for an upward and downward direction. Both symbols are on Plan Swing Tilt line subcategory which allows full controls over display on various independent layouts.
